MY LIFE in my flat
I’ve been living in my ground floor flat in North Baddesley since April 2007.
The flat has two bedrooms, a bathroom, small kitchen and a lounge.
My room has a new overhead hoist and everything else I need. To help me, Testway
put in automatic doors and lowered the worktops in my kitchen to make it easier
for me.
In the time I’ve lived here I’ve met new people, especially my neighbour Carol.
I have two hamsters called Smudge and Jasper and two budgies.
Opposite the flat there are a few shops where 1 can get my milk and bread and
any other things. Not far from the flat there’s a health centre.
I’ve had so much help since being been here. And just recently I’ve joined a
firm called Seeability in Eastleigh. I am the first person in Hampshire to join
up with them.
Seeability helps people who are blind or partially sighted with other
disabilities to get the most out of life.
