FOOTBALL IN NORTH BADDESLEY

This local club has been established for 12 years.

Our main aim has always been to encourage schoolchildren from 5/6 year olds in their development of football skills whilst enjoying the game.

Baddesley Park FC had a prosperous start to 2009 when in January the club was awarded Charter Status by the FA. This is awarded to clubs which are organised with a committee and its members adhering to constitutions, rules and policies.

The club is still growing in size, with over 160 children currently affiliated to the club. Next season we will we have four teams playing in the Eastleigh & District Mini Soccer League and six teams in the Southampton Tyro League. Two teams will also be entered into the Southampton Youth League at U16’s and U18’s.

The new Sports Pavilion at Baddesley Recreation Ground is our home ground. Many teams train here on Saturdays under the supervision of coaches who have all completed at least a Level 1 Coaching Badge.

The club also has established links with Southampton Football Club who offer training sessions to the club, particularly in holiday term breaks.

Due to our growing success in size we are always looking for more players of all ages from 5 - 18 year olds for the coming season in September 2010. Continued sponsorship is always needed to help pay for new football kits and equipment for the children, so if anyone can help please let us know.

Players urgently wanted at U11’s and U12’s for season starting September 2010
