NORTH BADDESLEY VILLAGE HALL

As mentioned in the September edition, the hall boiler has been fitted with larger bore feed piping, in anticipation of a replacement boiler to be installed in the near future, once funding has been raised to meet the expected cost of £4,300.

The Hall Management Committee is currently exploring ways and means of raising this amount and, in this connection, is pleased to once again extend its grateful thanks to Councillor Alan Dowden for a generous grant of £1,000. Councillor Dowden’s continuous support of village affairs is reflected in this latest act, which will, I am sure, be greatly appreciated by the many groups who will benefit as a result.

Our very successful Quiz Night, held on l4th October last, realised a profit of £590, and the committee’s thanks are extended to all those who generously donated raffle prizes, those who assisted Barrie Williams with the organising, as well as all the groups who turned up to enjoy the fun.

It is the Village Hall Management Committee’s continued commitment to maintain the hall, and its grounds, to the very highest level for the benefit and enjoyment of all.

Finally may I, on behalf of myself and the committee, wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Ray Martin
Chairman, North Baddesley Village Hall Management Committee
