HOUSEBOUND READER SERVICE

Are You Unable to Visit the Library?

Are you someone who loves to read but cannot use your local library because of ill health or disability? If so, we may be able to help.

If you are housebound and have nobody to visit the library for you, we will usually be able to arrange for books and audio cassettes to be brought on a regular basis by staff or volunteers. There will be no charge and we also offer a free request service.

Please contact your nearest public library for details of local arrangements.

FOOTPRINTS YOUTH GROUP
FOOTPRINTS is the youth group of True Life Church, North Baddesley, and is for young people in Year 6 and older. We meet every Friday evening, often borrowing All Saints’ Church Hall in Rownhams Road. We do lots of interesting, fun and useful stuff – including games, swimming, Splashdown, Playzone, treasure hunts, on the beach, ice skating, bbq’s, bowling, laserquest, etc, and also spend some time exploring what it means to be a Christian – often using DVD’s and more games. We do occasional public drama performances to raise money for charities and will be hosting an autumn meal with entertainment! People attending don’t have to go to church – FOOTPRINTS is definitely for anyone!
We have a weekly programme which you can get by phoning Jim Bird on 023 8041 0792 or via the TLC website: www.truelifechurch.uk.com
FOOTPRINTS has never been more popular than the past year, with around 35 attending most weeks. We currently have a short waiting list for new people – please contact as above or via website – we’ll add you to the list to start ASAP!
CHIP SHOP CHALLENGE – in April, after the really difficult job of eating chips at 10 different local chippies (Nursling, North Baddesley, Romsey and Chandlers Ford) – our own local “CHUNKYS” again won our “best chips award”!
